FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How Many Dental Implants Will I Need?
The amount of implants required will be determined by how many teeth you are missing.
From a single lost tooth to a full mouth repair, dental implants can be utilized to replace any number of teeth.
The dental staff will create a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs.
What if I Don't Have Any Teeth?
In most cases, dentists do not use a Dental Implant to replace every missing tooth. If you have no teeth on either your upper or lower jaws, they will often insert 6 implants on the top jaw and 6 implants on the lower jaw, for a total of 12 implants. A full set of 28 teeth will be supported by these implants (14 teeth along each jaw). Two Dental Implants (one at each end of the gap) will be put if you have a gap when three or four teeth are missing along the same row. A 3 or 4 tooth Dental Implant Bridge will be supported by these implants. If you just have one missing tooth, a single Dental Implant and Implant Crown will be inserted instead.
How Long Does it Take to Get Dental Implants in Turkey?
Your treatment in Turkey can be finished in two short trips. Your Dental Implants will be placed on your first appointment. After your implant has been placed, you must wait at least 3 months before getting your permanent implant crown(s). This is critical for all patients to ensure that their implants settle and become solid in the jawbone before any weight or stress is applied, ensuring the long-term effectiveness of their treatment. A temporary solution can be provided at the first appointment, ensuring that you do not return home without the appearance and function of your teeth. The Implant Crowns or Dental Implant Bridges will be installed to the Implants on your return visit to Turkey, and your treatment will be completed.
How Much is a Dental Implant in Istanbul?
Dental implants and the expense of their implantation can be prohibitively expensive, costing thousands of pounds, euros, or dollars. Patients seeking Dental Implants have an alternative at Rosary Clinic. A solution that is less expensive but does not sacrifice the quality of the materials used or the experience of the dentists and oral surgeons. Much of this can be related to the lower operating costs of having a clinic in Turkey, which are much lower than operating costs in your own country.
Which Material is used for Dental Implants?
Titanium is utilized in dental implants because it is exceptionally durable, lightweight, and biocompatible, which means it will not wear out or be rejected by your body. Titanium comes in a variety of forms that are used for a variety of applications, including construction, medical supplies, and more.
What if I need Bone Grafting or Sinus Lifting?
After a natural tooth is taken, the jawbone density begins to deteriorate over time. In other circumstances, the loss of the tooth is caused by a decrease in bone density. In such circumstances, bone grafting is essential for successful implant placement. The position of the sinus pockets along the upper jaw is critical for successful implant implantation. A Sinus Lifting operation may be recommended if there is insufficient space under the sinus pocket. We usually do Bone Grafting and/or Sinus Lifting in conjunction with implant implantation.
Can I Have a Dental Implant After a Tooth Extraction?
If you need a tooth pulled and plan to replace it with a Dental Implant, the tooth can typically be extracted and the Implant placed at the same time. It is not always necessary to have your tooth pulled prior to visiting the clinic. There will be no additional charges for a tooth extraction if it is done in combination with an implant installation. If you have just had a tooth pulled, you will need to wait 4-6 weeks before receiving your Dental Implant. The healing process of your gum line cannot be disrupted in order to put the Dental Implant, however both the extraction and the Implant placement can typically be done at the same time.
What if I Do Not Have Enough Bone?
Your bone density and quality are critical in the case of Dental Implants. Around 30% of implant patients do not have enough bone to insert implants without the use of bone grafting. If you're not sure if you're a good candidate for Dental Implants, please contact us and we'll help you set up a Panoramic X-Ray in your home country before you go. You can also come to the clinic for a free comprehensive consultation and Panoramic X-Ray. Oral Surgeons will take a variety of measures to identify the ideal location and angle for implant placement. In the event that you require bone grafting, the implant procedure is substantially the same. The Oral Surgeons will take a variety of measures to establish the optimal site and angle for the Implant. If you require bone grafting, the implant technique will essentially be the same for you. The only difference is that the Implant procedure will take slightly longer because the Oral Surgeon will apply Bone Grafting material in the appropriate areas alongside your Implant placement. However, if Bone Grafting is required, you will only need to travel to Turkey twice to complete your Implant treatment. Although the Oral Surgeon's recommended healing time may be more than 3 months, a temporary solution may typically be offered so that you do not return home without the appearance of teeth and can go about your daily routine as usual until your permanent Implant Crowns are placed. The Bone Grafting substance will blend in with your native bone over time, providing support for your Dental Implants. In comparison to your previous scan, you will see an enhanced bone level on your new X-Ray or Tomography/ 3D MRI scan. Because the fees for Bone Grafting are established at a minimum and maximum, if you do not have a Panoramic X-Ray prior to your visit, we can tell you of any prospective Bone Grafting expenses before you fly, so you can estimate how much your total treatment will cost before you travel to Turkey.
I Have Been Told I Need a Sinus Lift, How Does That Work?
The position of your sinus pockets is critical for
placing dental implants in your upper jaw.
If your Sinus Pockets (on the left, right, or both sides)
are too low, they will need to be raised to allow for the
safe placement of Dental Implants. Approximately 25%
of implant patients do not have enough room under
their sinus pockets to allow for implant implantation
without the necessity for Sinus Lifting. If you are
considering Dental Implants for your upper jaw and
are unclear if you are a good candidate for
Dental Implants with or without Sinus Lifting,
please contact us and we can help you arrange a
Panoramic X-Ray in your home country before you arrive.
Alternatively, you can come to the clinic for a
complimentary comprehensive consultation and
Panoramic X-Ray. The oral surgeon will take
several measurements to establish the ideal
placement and angle for the implants, as well as
whether or not Sinus Lifting is required.
If you require Sinus Lifting, the implant technique will essentially be the same for you. The only difference is that the process will take somewhat longer because the Oral Surgeon will raise your sinus pocket into the proper position while placing your implant.
Although the Oral Surgeon's recommended healing time may be more than 3 months, a temporary solution may typically be offered so that you do not return home without the appearance of teeth and can go about your daily routine as usual until your permanent Implant Crowns are placed. Because the fees for Sinus Lifting are established, if you do not have a Panoramic X-Ray prior to your visit, we can tell you of any potential Sinus Lifting expenses before you fly to Turkey, so you can estimate how much your total procedure will cost before you travel.
Many patients also report that they have a better sense of smell and can breathe easier as a result of the Sinus Lifting operation, despite the fact that the procedure is primarily performed to ensure that the sinus pocket and patient are safe during implant implantation.
What About My Guarantee?
Many people who travel to another country for dental care miss the dental guarantee. Many clinics also fail to display the terms and circumstances of the guarantee they are providing. A dental clinic's ability to issue any type of guarantee is not required by law anywhere in the world. As a result, this is something you should inquire about before scheduling your appointment, as many dental clinics do not provide any sort of guarantee.
A simple remark indicating that a therapy comes with a 2-year or 5-year warranty tells you very little about what is covered. Rosary Clinic in Turkey takes pleasure in ensuring that patients are supplied with a transparent dental guarantee that includes all of the terms and conditions of the guarantee and is written in an easy-to-understand manner.
Why Should I Have My Dental Implants in Turkey?
Many implant patients consider traveling abroad to save money for their dental implants, but the skills and knowledge should not be overlooked. A fully qualified Oral Surgeon places all of our Dental Implants. Implants are often implanted by a conventional dentist rather than an oral surgeon in several UK and European dental clinics. Your local dentist may have some experience with Dental Implants, but this experience is typically limited, and just a few Implants are placed each month. We've invested a lot of money in specialized implant technologies to enable proper pre-planning of implant placement, bone density evaluations, and less invasive Bone Grafting and Sinus Lifting treatments (if required). Since 2010, we've placed over 300 implants every month on average, with a 99% success rate. We feel ourselves to be considerably above average, providing our patients the confidence to pick us for their Implant treatment. The global average success rate is 95%, thus we consider ourselves to be well above average.
What Happens on My Second Visit?
The following is the procedure for implant placement and subsequent crown placement:
The implants will be inserted on the initial visit, and the gum will grow over the top of the implant in a short period of time (typically 5–14 days). The Oral Surgeon will obtain access to the Implants on the second visit by either surgically opening the gum line or using a laser; which technique is best depends depend on the thickness of the gum.
The implant will then be covered with a healing cap to allow the gum line to settle into the proper shape in preparation for the Implant Abutment and Crown, which takes a few days. Following the fabrication of the new Crown, the healing cap is removed, the Abutment is attached to the Implant, and the Crown is attached to the Abutment.
Will the Procedure Hurt?
Implant treatment is always done with a local anaesthetic, which numbs the area so that you don't feel the implant being placed.
Following the installation of your implant, the clinic will write you a prescription for antibiotics and pain relievers.
In terms of pain relief, most patients take pain relievers for 24-48 hours after their procedure, after which they no longer feel they need them. Some individuals do not believe that pain medication is necessary.
A dental implant is a small titanium screw that is surgically implanted into the jawbone to replace teeth that are missing or need to be replaced. Titanium is used in dental implants because it is known to fuse with your natural bone. It's the same stuff that goes into knee and hip replacements. As a result, the implant serves as an artificial tooth root, anchoring a new dental crown in place. An Implant Bridge can be added to the Implants in the case of numerous teeth missing along the same row (three or more teeth). Because the implant is fused to the jawbone, it has a fully natural appearance and feel.
The term 'Implant' refers to the titanium screw that is inserted into the jawbone; there is also the Implant Abutment (a little connection that joins the Implant to the Crown) and, of course, the Zirconium Crown to complete the treatment. The clinics will always provide you an estimate that includes all fees associated with your treatment. For example, the implant price includes the cost of the Abutment, ensuring that there are no surprises when you arrive.
